Composed of gifted and adventurous Canadian players Dan Pitt (guitar & electronics) and Noah Franche-Nolan (piano, synth, electronics), the band successfully marries textural and jazz-informed lyricism as well as timbral exploration with subtle rhythmic drive. Moreover, they’ve achieved an elegant balance between electroacoustic manipulation and pure instrumental sonorities, allowing their imagination in both realms to shine equally brightly.

[ November the 1st, 2024 self-release Dan Pitt Quartet – Horizontal Depths ]
Canadian guitarist Dan Pitt announces their second album of polymorphous jazz with the second recording of his Quintet, titled Horizontal Depths, with the music purposely written with every individual in the band in mind. That’s the step up from their debut, which was reinterpreting leader’s earlier repertoire. The album is self – release. The release will be followed with band Canadian tour.
