Ecuadorian cellist Ana Gamboa and Argentine vocalist Constanza Pellicci have developed a free improvisation practice shaped by a shared condition: both have built their careers across different cities and through processes of migration. In this context, improvisation has been not only a way of making music, but also a way of engaging with the displacements and transformations that have marked their personal experiences.
The duo was formed in 2022, when they met during a concert in the free improvisation series Secreto desorden de los sentidos in Córdoba, Argentina. That encounter marked the beginning of a collaboration that continued with performances in Córdoba and Buenos Aires, before they reunited in September 2025 in Zurich, where Constanza has lived since 2024. Their reunion led to a tour of Switzerland and Germany, culminating in the recording of their first album as a duo.
Built entirely from improvisations for voice and cello, Secreto desorden de los sentidos explores the acoustic possibilities of both instruments through extended techniques. Throughout the album, the duo develops a repertoire in which tension and suspension coexist with resonance, subtle textures, and a wide range of sonic resources drawn from the voice and cello.
“As itinerant artists, we find in listening a way of orienting ourselves, and in improvisation a way of reorganising what displacement unsettles,” explain Gamboa and Pellicci.
Secreto desorden de los sentidos is released by Buh Records in digital and cassette formats. The album was recorded at Morphine Raum in Berlin in September 2025 by Rabih Beaini, and mixed and mastered by Daniel Bruno. The cover artwork features a woodcut by Gabriel Rizzo.

ANA GAMBOA
Ana Gamboa is an Ecuadorian composer, cellist, and improviser based in Buenos Aires. Her artistic practice moves between contemporary composition, free improvisation, and experimental music. Her projects emerge from collaborative work and exchange with artists from diverse backgrounds, shaping a practice informed by nomadism, self-organization, and creative networks across Latin America.
Since 2016, she has maintained an intensive creative practice, presenting her work at international festivals, residencies, and concert series dedicated to contemporary music and experimental practices.

CONSTANZA PELLICCI
Constanza Pellicci is an Argentine vocal artist and performer based in Zurich, Switzerland. Her artistic practice explores the human voice through vocal experimentation, extended techniques, and free improvisation, establishing a connection between free improvisation and popular singing. Her vocal language incorporates different dimensions of her interdisciplinary practice in dance, somatic techniques, and performance.
She has been actively involved in the experimental music scene for more than 15 years, contributing to the development of an international network of artistic collaboration. She has performed on tours and at festivals across Latin America and Europe.
