Terra Incognita is the new release by Rich Halley, featuring a quartet with innovative pianist Matthew Shipp, standout bassist Michael Bisio and sterling drummer Newman Taylor Baker. Halley’s first recording in years featuring a pianist, Terra Incognita showcases a different side of his music. The group’s intuitive chemistry shines through in a series of sparkling and powerful improvisations, which were recorded in Brooklyn in August 2018.
