One of my all time favorite people, a true gentleman and bass guitar legend, and a very close friend for over a decade, with whom I traveled/toured around the world so many times (mostly with Allan Holdsworth), won today (January 28, 2018) another Grammy Award. JIMMY HASLIP, the iconic bass maestro, one of the all time greats, is bass player, composer and co-composer on several tunes, as well the producer of the seminal JEFF LORBER “PROTOTYPE” album, which won 2017 Grammy’s as The Best Instrumental Album. (Congratulations also to my good friend and Fender Rhodes mega maestro Jeff Lorber!)
Jimmy Haslip‘s power trio ARC, featuring Scott Kinsey on keyboards and Gary Novak on drums, due to release the brand new studio album (not on MoonJune Records), is on the MoonJune Music Booking Roster and will hit stages around the world sometimes in the second half of this year.
