[Countdown to London BluesFest 2016 ]

An array of international stars from the worlds of blues, rock and soul will descend on London this month as BluesFest returns to The O2 from October 28th – 30th.

The festival will present three spectacular double-bills featuring blues luminary Walter Trout and UK blues-rock outfit The Temperance Movement, multi-Grammy-winning Mary J Blige and R&B star Maxwell, and UK guitar god Jeff Beck alongside the legendary Van Morrison.

The festival will also present the first London show in six years from Paul Rodgers’ rock supergroup Bad Company featuring a set from special guest US guitarist and Bon Jovi collaborator Richie Sambora and a special one-off Bill Wyman 80th birthday concert featuring Robert Plant, Mark Knopfler, Imelda May, Mick Hucknall and more.

An array of shows will take place at the 800-capacity Brooklyn Bowl from the likes of The Strypes, Darrel Higham, Big Boy Bloater and JD & The Straight Shot, alongside homegrown talents Jo Harman, Hollie Stevenson and Lauren Housley.

Taking place from October 28 – 30, the festival will this year run in association with American Express and will once again utilize all areas of The O2 complex including the 20000-capacity Arena, indigo at The O2 and Brooklyn Bowl to present what is fast becoming one of the most popular blues, soul and roots festivals in the world.
